Notes for Audience- 26th September 2011.

Exam Speak: The issues raised in the targeting of national and local audiences (specifically british) by international or global institutions.
- The ways in whcih the candidates' own experiences of media consumption illustrate wide patterns and trends of audience behaivour.

Blumers 4 stages: 1.Audience come from everywhere, all occupations will be there in the cinema watching the same movie.
2. People who watch the movie are completely anonymous, meaning that you will be on your own throughout the whole movie, from start to finish, when leaving and coming to the cinema!
3. Once watched the same film as someone else, there will be communication with them about the movie whatsoever.
4. It is all a coinsidence of who is in the cinema and what movie you are watching.
These ofcourse are all false sayings about media and things are way different to Blumer's theory.

Uses and Gratifications=
a) the need for information about our geographical and social world news and drama.
b)the need for identity, by using characters and personalities to define our sense of self and social behaivour film celebrities.
c)Social interation through experiencing the relationships and interaction of others.
d)the need for diversion by using the media for purposes of play and entertainment.

Media-Task 1.

1. I think that different kinds of people will have different interests and therefore watch movies that they can relate to or enjoy that type of film genre. For example, the Inbetweeners movie will be mostly tagerted teenagers as there is a higher population of this audience who watch the series and makes them the real target audience for this film.

2. On my own i will just watch programmes on the TV or different movies at home or in my room. In addition, i would listen to music by myself but only music i enjoy and usually do this in my room whilst doing work or cleaning up or anything along them lines. When i am with other people, there may be plans to go to cinema to watch a new film or they will show me some new songs they like and want to show me. When i am with others, we will talk about all types of media more than i would do by myself (even though i don't talk to myself about media).

3. I mostly listen to a lot of music when i am by myself like when i do work and stuff. When i have nothing to do i would just watch TV for about 2 hours at home in the living room.

4. After watching a good movie, listening to a good song or watch a drama series that is good- i would sometimes tell my friends what time and channel the movie is coming on. Additionally, i may tell them about a good song by texting them or showing them when i see him/her. I could send them a link to the youtube page via msn or by text to again show them the song or any clip that occurs to us on youtube.

We learnt about some of the biggest movie directors and producers of our generation. There work has inspired many people to copy or create new styles of their work. Some of the directors and producers have got major awards in many catogories.

The first producers is a very famous producer, especially for his action scenes this is Michael Bay. He has produced many movies including Armageddon and the spectacular, award-winning Transformers. He had inputted many action scenes and one of his most famous was in Bad Boys (with Will Smith and Martin Lawernce) were he cashed out a major $25,000 for an explosion scene.
This is an example of his work......

How age is represented in 'Eastenders'

It's Darrens stag night as he is planning on getting married to Jodie, however things don't go as planned when a drunken Darren cheats on her a night before with a close friend of Jodie's. Unfortunately, Jodie finds out and the wedding is called off.
These two clips show how teenagers and young adults are represented through media. They are shown to be having wild parties and drinking their way through them. In addition to this, some sexual comments are made which then lead to two characters sleeping with each other. This represents that most teens and young adults are mostly about the alcohol and having sex with other people. Some aspects of love are shown in the rest of the clip with Jodie and Darren because they are about to get married, but with the rest of the characters on there it is just loud music, booze and getting with people.
They have in been dressed in clothing that will be seen on many teenagers now days which makes it quite realistic and also seem to be stylish to our modern generation; the hairstyles add to this genre also.
