- The ways in whcih the candidates' own experiences of media consumption illustrate wide patterns and trends of audience behaivour.
Blumers 4 stages: 1.Audience come from everywhere, all occupations will be there in the cinema watching the same movie.
2. People who watch the movie are completely anonymous, meaning that you will be on your own throughout the whole movie, from start to finish, when leaving and coming to the cinema!
3. Once watched the same film as someone else, there will be communication with them about the movie whatsoever.
4. It is all a coinsidence of who is in the cinema and what movie you are watching.
These ofcourse are all false sayings about media and things are way different to Blumer's theory.
Uses and Gratifications=
a) the need for information about our geographical and social world news and drama.
b)the need for identity, by using characters and personalities to define our sense of self and social behaivour film celebrities.
c)Social interation through experiencing the relationships and interaction of others.
d)the need for diversion by using the media for purposes of play and entertainment.
